I practice psychotherapy rooted in both natural science psychology and a human science model. My journey began with a master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Boston University, where I learned the foundations of natural science psychology. However, my curiosity led me to explore how we perceive, hear, and become aware of ourselves and the world around us. This quest for deeper understanding inspired me to pursue a second master's degree in psychology focusing on existential phenomenological psychology—a field dedicated to unraveling the emergence, evolution, and transformation of consciousness. Consciousness is the arena where life unfolds; it is the very essence of how we experience and make sense of our lives. Following the second master's degree, I completed a PhD in Clinical Psychology at Duquesne University.
Effective psychotherapy, I believe, starts with acknowledging and deeply engaging with the client's personal experience. By respecting and understanding the way a client articulates their native experience, we gain access to the profound wisdom that lies beyond conscious thought—a wisdom that connects us in a deeper way to our true selves and potentially to a larger, infinite unity.
